The Client Success Manager, or CSM, position is considered a critical development role that prepares incumbents for potential advancement to the role of Inbound Marketing Strategist.
For the right candidate, this is a great opportunity to learn marketing methodologies and best practices from a recognized leader in the industry. Prior inbound marketing experience is not a requirement, but the ability to learn quickly is.
Job Description
The Client Success Manager (CSM) is the orchestrator of client programs, ensuring the seamless execution of the plans developed with the Strategist. Acting as a general contractor, the CSM manages projects, oversees deliverables, optimizes workflows, and ensures programs are implemented efficiently and effectively through the agency. Their primary focus is on execution, efficiency, and process improvement, ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time, at the highest quality, and in alignment with client goals.
CSMs work side-by-side in partnership with Strategists, translating big-picture strategies into actionable plans. While Strategists focus on the “What and Why” — guiding overall vision, business objectives, and growth opportunities — CSMs focus on the “How and When,” ensuring that day-to-day execution runs smoothly, workflows are optimized, and programs stay on track. This partnership is critical to delivering successful outcomes and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
Requirements
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as marketing, business, communications or comparable experience (5 years of experience in marketing (inbound/digital) (Note: A comparable combination of education/experiences and/or training will be may be considered equivalent)
- Related experience: 3-5 years in marketing and/or project management
- HubSpot/Inbound certified (can be completed prior to employment)
